Come and talk about your work

On The Mend is an independent Australian video podcast, made by people who work in general practice and recorded inside real, working clinics in Melbourne. We talk with GPs and specialists, nurses, receptionists, practice managers, allied health and community services. If you work in or alongside general practice, we would love to have you on.

Who has been on the show

Every guest is credited by name, role and where they work.

How it works

Relaxed, short, and we handle the rest

A quick chat. You suggest a few topics from your area of work, and we pick one together.

We record. A casual conversation in a working clinic, with no script to memorise.

We edit. Stumbles come out. We make the full episode plus a few short clips.

We publish. The episode goes out on YouTube, Spotify and social media, and we send you the links.

Your time

Well under an hour

That is how long most recordings take. There is no preparation beyond knowing your topic.

Cost

Nothing to pay

There is no cost to take part, and guests are not paid. We look after all the filming, editing and publishing.

Consent

A simple one-page guest agreement

Before recording, you read and sign a short agreement. It sets out what each of us agrees to, in line with AHPRA and TGA advertising guidelines.

What we look after

  • Recording, editing and publishing the episode and clips, as video, audio, transcripts and social posts.
  • A factual credit: your name, your role and where you work.
  • The standard disclaimer on every episode: general information only, not a substitute for advice from your own healthcare provider.
  • Only music and images we own or have properly licensed.

What we ask of you

  • Keep it general education, accurate, current and within your area of practice.
  • Use balanced language, with risks and benefits, and no guarantees.
  • Protect patient privacy: de-identify any examples and leave out detail that could identify someone.
  • No testimonials, and no naming or promoting brands, products, devices or other clinics.
  • Be fair and respectful, with no unfair comparisons with colleagues.

The full agreement is in the guest welcome pack we send before recording. If anything is unclear, just ask and we will talk it through.
